Lag putts can be killers for many golfers. Most of the time, you’d be more than happy with a two putt, so then, why not make that your goal?

To help you leave it close on long and difficult putts, a good rule of thumb is to overplay the break and underplay the speed. Wouldn’t you much rather have the ball tracking toward the hole on its last few revolutions than getting farther and farther away as you blast it past? Start focusing on this and two putts will become the norm.
